In the summer of 2018 I branched into the world of sponsorship with The Lost King. This came in the form of sponsoring a Crystal Palace Ladies player. It was an opportunity to be a part of my club, as well as advertise my book. What I later discovered, was that it was a great opportunity to actually provide some support for the player as the sponsorship money helped with their fees.

I made my choice before the season began, picking tenacious midfielder Fran Ali to sponsor.

However, Fran had been coming back from a long term injury and I would not get to see her play before she departed the club. While it was sad to see Fran leave, it gave me the opportunity to sponsor another player, and for me, that choice was easy.

Hope Nash joined the club in the summer, and when I attended my first game of the season against Leicester, she was the player that really caught the eye with a fighting performance at left back. Caroline and I commented that day that if I wasn't already sponsoring Fran, then Hope would have been my choice.

So circumstances have worked out, and I am proud to say that I sponsor Hope for the season and will be supporting her and the team all the way.
