World Book Day 2019
So today is World Book Day. As our daughter Hermione trundled off to nursery dressed as the Snow Queen (yes, in hindsight we should have gone for Hermione Granger as an outfit choice), I too found myself heading towards a school. When I was young, World Book Day was the day that I always went into junior school dressed as Charlie Bucket, from Roald Dahl's Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. I would have with me a bar of Galaxy, wrapped in a Wonka bar wrapper made for me by my

Caroline bless her, has been nagging me for some time to get back to it, but it just hasn't happened. The plan had been to be actively writing blogs, whilst sta

Pembroke Castle
As I sit here writing this it has been just a few hours since we got home from Wales where we have spent the last few days on holiday for my wife's birthday. Now here is some big news, last night whilst still on that holiday I completed the final chapter of my book and therefore finished writing my book! Granted there is still a lot to be done, starting with me proof reading it, but nevertheless it is written much to my own amazement! So given that historic piece of news,

My Dreams Are Becoming a Reality!
So over the last few days this writing adventure of mine has taken a new turn. On New Years Eve after a long day of work I sat down with my laptop, still stuck on Chapter 20. My progress had been slow, a few years slow and I was stuck in a rut. While I had very much wanted to get the book complete and published, it had not been advancing how I had hoped. But as 2016 slipped away I told myself I needed to kick into gear. I needed to get things moving again and make my dre
